Our mission is to make couchsurfing an open and accepting place.

ABOUT US

We are a kinky throuple (according to Brian's sister; Brian, Emily & Jess) currently living in Calgary. Why do I say this first? Not because we are looking for kinky people to host. I think it is important because it truly defines us as open and accepting people and we really are only interested in the same. So if you read that and said, "cool" and shrugged your shoulders, or said something about "these are my type of people", then please send us a message. We'd love to host you.

We traveled all through South-East Asia for 7 weeks, and Europe for 5 weeks, and realized that it was the people who made the places. That is why we are trying to get involved in Couch Surfing. We hope to make your trip to Calgary better, and we are always travelling, so meeting people who can host us in their country/city is a win/win.

Professionally, Emily does office management for various companies, and used to be a professional photographer. Brian represents English manufacturers for a Chinese factory, making Star Wars, Marvel, Harry Potter, and more. He used to be an Event Planner, as well as a Community Development Director, and University Softball Coach. Jess is an Environmental Engineer for an oil company.

PS: If you send one line or some generic cut and paste request, you're wasting your time. You want us to open up our lives to you, and you can't take 5 minutes to read our profile and send something personal? That tells us you're just looking for a free couch, and not what CS is really about.

PPS: If we get a request that begins "Hi (insert name that is not ours)" because you forgot to change the name on your cut and paste, expect a douchy response!

PPPS: Last one, I promise... Don't send us a message saying you just need a bed at night and a place to store your crap during the day. That's what a hotel is for. Better yet, yes you can stay with us. It's 100$ per night, and ask about our great mini bar prices! #mooch

HOW WE PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've thankfully weeded through all the beggars, mooches, and closed-minded people (yes we know we're going to hell) well enough so far and met some truly incredible people! Keep them coming!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We surfed for the first time with Hiro and Pan in Tokyo and it was a very memorable experience! I don't know how any others could compare but we're willing to try!

Our second surf was with Belinda and Evans in Nairobi. They surfed our couch in HK first, and we were so happy to visit them in Nairobi. Incredible people!!!

We really enjoy going to the pub and sitting around talking, or playing a board/card game and chatting. We love sports, live music, stand-up comedy, movies, photography, board games, cards, poker, video games, the pub, and much more...

Brian swam with Caribbean Reef Sharks in open water without a cage... Brian and Emily lived with elephants for 3 days at a sanctuary... Wrestled arctic wolves... Held a lion... Played with Siberian tigers.... held a panda.. safari in Kenya... and a bunch more!
