About Me

Born and raised in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

I am passionate about the future of Africa and its trajectory.

PHILOSOPHY

If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I profoundly hold to the notion of how cultures and languages change our perception and shape our views of how we perceive the world and how we treat one another. I grew up in an environment in a tribalist environment in which I was intolerant and inconsiderate to others. My tribe's ethnocentric view hindered me from seeing people from who they are rather than the reservation of the single stories I had heard about them.

Immigrating to USA enable me to see people for who they are. I like to hear people stories of perseverance, resilience, determination, and creativity.

I am currently in Cape Town doing a semester abroad. I am honestly here to learn more indept about the African culture an see the ways of how globalization is rapidly growing; and also to assess in which trend might the next form of exploitation.
