About Me

I love to explore and research a broad variety of things and I want to know about everything. I road my bicycle from Manasquan Park, New Jersey to St. Augustine, Fl, in 1980 when I was 19 years old. I never really left (except for a few short years when my children were born), so here I am.
I returned to St. Augustine in 1986 and owned and operated restaurants here in the 80s and 90s and did subcontracting in the 90s and 00s. At the moment I'm raising my grandson whom I adopted in 2011. It's my major work day in and day out, while I struggle to find time for creative outlets, like playing my guitar or making didgeridoos, ... and I am an astrologer and student of metaphysics, and love to have deep discussions about consciousness and universe and quantum theory... in layman terms anyway!

My much neglected blog about Michael and I... where I hope to post many more travel adventures from across the country:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Exploring the world and nature, and visiting friends and family, is a high priority for us We have a camper van so we can travel to places I would not normally be able to bring Michael, my son. We've already been to some incredible places and soon we'd like to travel from Florida to the Northwest and possibly Alaska. It's challenging for us to have a rigid schedule and we just live each day at a time. We wont' need much more than a flat spot to park and possibly electric hook up (110v) and internet, and water hook up once in a while. IF we can use a kitchen and bathroom even better. We can generally let you know when we are heading your way and keep you posted as to how far from you we are and how long it might take, but it's difficult for us to keep a strict timetable because of his special needs, so please bear with us if we fall behind schedule. I'm the only driver and his only caregiver so we take longer to cover the distances than most travelers.

Interests

I'm a guitarist and aspiring songwriter and I believe music is my salvation! I love my bicycle and being able to tow my son in his adaptive bike trailer. I love working with wood, carving, making didgeridoos, jamming with friends, all kinds of food and cooking, I love books and research and learning about things in general. "The unexamined life is not worth living!"
