About Me

WVU law student, foodie, lover of wine. I am bold and outgoing, always looking for an adventure. There are more things in this world to see than can be seen, but I'm sure as hell gonna try!

"Tis a big and beautiful world. Most of us live and die in the same corner where we were born and never get to see any of it. I don't want to be most of us." Oberyn, Game of Thrones

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking to travel in the summer of 2016 in the weeks before and after a study abroad trip with my school.

I have lived with host families on my travels (not through couch surfing) and I have enjoyed my time much more than when I stay in hotels. I want to learn what the real culture of a country is like, not what the tourism industry wants you to think it is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I organized a spontaneous fundraising event while in Ghana and helped fund a computer lab in a library which I was helping construct. The tribe was so grateful they made me a member of their tribe with an elevated, royal status. I cannot wait to return to see the library since it's completion.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help you learn English. I know what it's like to study language, I have experience teaching children to read in English, and I have a strong and vast vocabulary to share with you.

I would love to learn about European culture. Not the stereotypes portrayed in tourist traps, but

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook and would love to trade lessons! I'll teach you how to make traditional American foods (assuming I can get the ingredients) if you will teach me how to make traditional dishes from your country!

I can cook food from most regions of America, but I love making food from the south east (think Paul Deen).

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Bolivia, Canada, China, Germany, Ghana, Jamaica, Japan, Peru, Taiwan, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
