About Me

My current mission in life is to learn as much as possible and meet as many people as possible wherever possible. I am currently studying for my MA in Göttingen, Germany.

ABOUT ME

I'm lucky enough to be both studying Literary and Cultural Studies and learning German while in Göttingen. Besides that I'm an active and enthusiastic dude who's willing to try new things and experience all I can with what I got.

PHILOSOPHY

Still got a lot to read.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to meet new people and hear their stories. I believe it's an excellent way to travel and also a great way to get to know a city, but most importantly to learn about each place through each person! Housing/being housed through couchsurfing is a one of a kind experience.

Interests

My interests include reading any book, writing short stories and poems, going for a run, playing Super Smash Bros., discovering new places, sharing music, traveling, philosophy, hiking, bicycling, watching good movies and eating too much food.

Music, Movies, and Books

Super difficult for me to pick favorites so I'll just say the most recent selections I've enjoyed:

Music: Badbadnotgood, Soda Stereo, Thundercat
Movies: The Revenant, Drive, Sicario
Books: Ceremony - Leslie Marmon Silko, Collected Poems of William Carlos Williams, The Way of Zen - Alan Watts

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Mt. Fuji in Japan. Started from the ocean before hiking to the top.

Teach, Learn, Share

I was learning Chinese but now focusing on the German language. I am a certified English teacher and I also have tutored and taught Spanish, so I feel languages are an important part of my life, even though it feels like I meet someone with even more languages every day. I'm always eager to speak any of the ones I know or learn the phrases of a new one. I also just love sharing stories on a hike or over a beer. And I love sports and games which I bring with me everywhere!

I'm also learning how to tune and take care of a bicycle. I've had them all my life but never took the time to learn how to fix them up myself.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Besides sharing stories and languages, I am almost always down for the hobbies and interests of whatever other people are up for. Whether it's going on an adventure or just chilling, conversation... good people make for good times.
