About Me

I graduated a year early, and was onto my next step to go to Physician Assistant School, my ultimate goal to one day be a practicing PA. After a couple seminars, one comment repeatedly said that really stuck with me is that they are looking for people with experience that isn`t just medical related. At these schools, they pay attention to characteristics rather than simply looking at a number. Encouraged by my family to apply as quick as possible, I had to make a huge decision for myself. That decision was to take a gap year and spend time learning more about who I am. Sounds cliche, but I believed I needed to take risks and put myself outside my comfort zone. I knew that traveling and experiencing more of this world would have the largest impact on me. By being open minded and eager to learn about a different culture will bring about different perspectives. In the end, you acquire this new awareness and understanding that some people will never apprehend. Furthermore, with all the challenges and opportunities that traveling presents, one will sincerely walk away as a changed individual because humans are impermanent and always growing. Most importantly, one thing to always keep in mind, is to never give up and always keep working hard. Never give up on your dream. These are the ideals and attitudes that I persistently emphasize to myself, and the reason why I am sharing . These are the words I share because they are what I truly believe in and have learned after just a few of my travels and adventures (Colombia, France, Switzerland, Spain...).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, but the people you surround yourself with make the adventure different, unique, and way more exciting. It does not mater where you are, but who you are with that make it all worth while. I realize the struggle...being young and trying to figure it all out...at the last minute usually. I understand that we are all on a tight budget. I finished college, but I am in tons of debt, but at the same time trying to be independent from my parents...etc...a lot of us are in the same boat. The best thing we can do is support each other. I am currently in sicily and moving to portugal. I hope that during my road trip, couch surfers enforce their beliefs as I will for others when I live in portugal. This is a community for travelers, but also a support group for those going after their dreams.
