Hi there! I’m Brianna, a freelance journalist and writing teacher from New York, brand-new to Couchsurfing! I’ve lived in Brooklyn for the past 10 years, and in my free time I love to do yoga, bike, read, make music, hike, and, of course, travel. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I went on a solo backpacking trip for the first time this year, and it changed my life. I learned that traveling is in my blood. I’m eager to continue exploring and meeting welcoming, inspiring people.

I am a huge music fan, and I love learning about local music traditions. Some favorite artists are Radiohead, Joni Mitchell, Elliott Smith, Muddy Waters, Hiss Golden Messenger, and Neko Case. My favorite books are The Last Samurai by Helen DeWitt and A Supposedly Fun Thing I’ll Never Do Again by David Foster Wallace.
