I am from the USA but have lived overseas since 2009 teaching English in a few countries.

I love meeting open-minded, friendly people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I usually use the site for events but would like to host. I had a bad experience with a guy who didn't have any references. Found out he was going around from girl to girl and never leaving type thing. I paid him to leave before he ever stayed the night at my apartment but the experience scared me so I need people to have a few references. I am usually open and trusting and leave a key for guests so I have to be able to trust you.

Interests

I am very interested in dance. I enjoy watching and learning it. I especially like swing dance and belly dance.

I love coffee, listening to music, and talking about traveling.

I have my open water, Advanced and rescue diver certification. I love meeting fellow divers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I know it's more than one but I can't say what is more amazing. I slept on The Great Wall of China. I am year of the tiger so when I got to pet tigers in Thailand I thought it was cool. I rented a scooter in Thailand and drove from Chang Mai to Pai with some other couch surfers which was awesome! I went into villages in India and got very sick eating the food but passed by a witch doctor on the road that was chanting something at our car. I floated in a hot air balloon over many temples in Bagan, Myanmar.

I am an ESL teacher. If you are learning English as a second language I can help. I have loads of learning Chinese language books as I am studying myself. We can study together if you are also studying.
