About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Taking on the world, one day at a time!
ABOUT ME
I am a career student with a passion for spontaneous travel! I got a tattoo at 19 with a promise to visit all seven continents before I die, and I am slowly working on that goal. Part pretentious foodie, part hippie. I love meeting interesting people!
My profile usually says I've last logged in from Washington or Oregon. Don't worry; it lies. I'm in Tempe and have a wonky IP address.
I am an educator of sorts. I have a huge passion for learning and helping others learn - a variety of topics! I split my time between teaching classes on adult beverages (wine and scotch are my faves) and helping elementary and middle school special-needs students in Math and English.
My ultimate goal in life is ever-changing, but currently my dream job is to open up a champagne and jazz bar in Sedona.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surfed my way through Italy, Austria, and part of the Czech Republic in the summer of 2011. I met so many amazing people and made several wonderful friends!
Now I am home, and returning the favor. I love meeting new people and sharing experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I joined CouchSurfing after starting a Day Zero Project list (101 goals in 1001 days). I pledged to surf once and host once in that period. I did plenty of surfing during my travels in Europe, and have met several people back home that I have swapped experiences with.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't own a tv! I am a total bookworm and could never pick a favorite book or even author. At any given time, you can rest assured I have at least 15 books checked out from the library.
I am a former music performance major. I have performed internationally with various choirs since the age of 5 and played the piano since I was 6. I also picked up the violin and string bass for a few years. I was a competitive Irish step dancer for several years, so I definitely love the bagpipes. There isn't a musical genre that I can't appreciate!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in Alaska, life was full of amazing sights! I have been lucky to look out my bedroom window at some of the most beautiful mountains on Earth.
My first day in Rome, I happened to walk into St. Peter's Basilica as 5 o'clock mass was starting. The music and acoustics created such an incredible, ethereal experience.
I am always looking for something new and exciting.
