Music, Movies, and Books

Any how-to. Any field guide to something natural (birdwatching, botany). A lot of poetry - Siken, Ruth Stone, Roberto Bolano, Ginsberg, Bergman, Gilbert, the Beats, Polish writers whose names I can't spell. Some classic Japenese lit, but it's a new attraction. Native American and Eastern philosophies. David Foster Wallace. Carl Jung. Art essays. Feminist theory. Of course Vonnegut, Bukowski and Kerouac were influences in earlier years.

who doesn't like Tarantino? Waking Life, Taxi Driver, Big Fish, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, most cartoons. I'm not one to keep up with movies, but I appreciate a good art film, documentary or something to make my head spin.

Currently-- Beck, Grimes, Electric Light Orchestra, Talking Heads, Ariel Pink, Os Mutantes, The War On Drugs, Kurt Vile, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, Nina Simone, Jeff Buckley, St. Vincent, Flying Lotus, The White Stripes, Neil Young, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Cream, Loretta Lynn, The Byrds, Johnny Cash, Tom Waits, ODB, Danny Brown, MF Doom, Fela Kuti, Madvillain, Pavement, Silver Jews, Ed Schrader's Music Beat, Townes Van Zandt, Pissed Jeans, The Knife + Fever Ray

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Curated and produced/directed a successful and published mixed-medium art event that is now ongoing with 40+ artists/creatives full!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook some things, various tidbits of trivia, guide your creative and dream processes, and how to read many different symbol systems (including occultist ones).

I desire to learn all the languages (all of them!), much more on my current interests, how to fix a car or motorcycle, how to weld/fabricate, and about your town and yourself!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share many stories of silly hi jinks, where to find the best (free) food. I'll make you a damn good cup of coffee and breakfast or help you in your garden or on your cleaning spree. I can feng shui your house. I can help you with your homework. In the bubble of Nashville, my musical knowledge seems small and trite, but once out of the city, there's a lot that flows out of me. Some say I'm funny--hopefully we can share a laugh. I'm down to have an in-depth conversation on just about anything. I'll read your Tarot or photograph you or draw you something if you'll let me.
