I am a 24 year old guy from the middle of Ireland, but living in Edinburgh. I love travelling, especially in Europe, because of the amazing history, culture and nightlife on offer across the continent.

I love getting to know new people and learning bits of any language I possibly can. Wherever you're from, I will want to learn some of your language!

To get to know new people and cultures across Europe and the world. My mother always told me that travelling is an education and I've found that to be true. For me, travelling is not just going to a city and photographing the famous sights. It's about getting in sync with the local people, eating and drinking where they do etc. etc.
Couchsurfing offers an opportunity to do this.

Any kind of rock music, and also electronic, such as Kraftwerk.
Favourite movies include American Beauty, Scent of a Woman, Fargo and Das Leben der Anderen. I like dramas and foreign movies, but also comedies such as The Big Lebowski. The Coen Brothers are simply wonderful.
Books: Lolita by Nabokov. A masterpiece. Currently reading a lot of Coetzee.
