I'm a pretty regular guy with an avid love for dance and music. I work offshore on the ships, taking cargo to and from the oil rigs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing to find places to stay when I travel (usually for dance events) and to help people with a friendly place to stay when they come visit the Gulf Coast.

Interests

I am a competitive dancer, and appreciate all forms of expression through movement. As a result of my love for dancing, I have learned a lot about various genres of music, and have come to love all the various nuances. However, I must admit that classic rock, blues, and soul are currently my favorites.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a wide variety of music, and have a deep appreciation for all the various genres. Having worked for two radio stations, I have learned that the Music Industry is pretty warm and open to new ideas and change. It is an ever growing thing that keeps itself fresh by constantly updating to thrive in the times.
I am a huge fan of movies, but it has to have a good story. I have my degree in Communication Arts, specializing in TV, Radio, and Film. As such, I love to pick apart movies in my head to find the root behind all the layers that we see.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had to learn to walk again. In 2010, I contracted a viral infection in my brain that caused me to lose control of my motor skills. After months of physical therapy (and years of dancing), I am back and better than ever before! If the fact that I got sick causes you concern, don't let it bother you. I fought off the virus about 2 weeks after I got sick. I'm 100% healthy now!
