ABOUT ME
I feel like this is similar to setting up a dating site, which is slightly awkward.
I am 25 and probably not all that interesting!
I grew up on a pretty isolated island in the Hauraki Gulf in New Zealand. Lots of my childhood memories involve meeting people from all over the world and hearing about some pretty amazing places. I think that's what really sparked my urge to travel.
I have one sister, awesome parents and an odd cat who thinks she's a dog.
I have lived in Auckland for 10 years but still don't consider it home. I also haven't been to the South Island (yet).
I talk a lot. Mostly about nothing.
PHILOSOPHY
42.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None so far but looking forward to adding something here in the future!
Interests
An awful lot of things peak my interest. In no particular order, this is what me and my friends tend to chat about:
History.
Music.
Philosophy.
Medicine (neurology especially).
Alternative everything (grew up in a very conservationist environment).
Reading.
Cats.
One Direction.
Travel.
Languages.
Sports (except Golf and Cricket).
Food.
I like adventures and exploring.
And fires.
I think there is something special about sharing food or stories around a fire (or a table if you're traditional).

Music, Movies, and Books
I read a lot. There's not a lot I don't like when it comes to books. At the moment I'm reading a lot of Fredrick Neitzche, hard to get through but very thought provoking. Harry Potter is definitely in my top book series list but my all time favourite books are The Bronze Horseman Series by Paulina Simmons.
I watch a lot of movies. I don't have a favourite movie or genre. Action and sci-fi movies are usually reserved to be shared with my dad.
I'm unapologetically into One Direction. Well, their latest album at least. Damn those catchy tunes. I like a lot of different music and there's not a lot I won't listen to or enjoy. Oldies music makes me happy and reminds me of my childhood. Classical music reminds me of my sisters never ending orchestral performances throughout High School. I love live music more than anything else.
I do not like Coldplay. Or U2. Just, no.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent 2 weeks in Fiji with a church group in 2012 helping build houses and outhouses for some of the locals. It was such a good experience and the first time I'd been somewhere with people I barely knew (bar a school trip to Sydney when I was 17).
