COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted a few people through WarmShowers, a network for people biking cross-country. I have couch-surfed several times and had a couple couch surf with me. Definitely looking to be involved more, both as surfer and host.

Music, Movies, and Books

I want to learn more about old-school folk and blues, both to listen and to play. I read a lot of non-fiction these days, but fiction-wise I love everything from James Joyce to trashy spy fiction. I like detective and science fiction films such as Chinatown, Blade Runner, Solaris, the Maltese Falcon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently found a gorge in Scotland with waterfalls running through... jumped off a couple of them after testing the landing, and had a beautiful time swimming in the pure clean water. The sun was going down and shining straight down the gorge, and I was alone, laughing and yelling out dedications before my waterfall jumps. After climbing up out of the gorge, I was so amped up (running up the hill with my adrenaline going insane) I jumped out of the bushes onto the country road and nearly got hit by a car!

My hobbies are music and writing and I'm happy to talk with anyone about art, music, literature, and the joys and tortures of trying to create them. I can also teach basic German or Russian, or English.
