About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet new people, sofa network!

ABOUT ME

I am back in Belfast after spending a year in Canada, mostly living and working in St John's.
Its a great place and I can't wait to get back...

PHILOSOPHY

My friend tells me I am very Lao Tzu in my way of being.
I think he means laid back and que sera sera....I go with the flow mostly!

(He's more of a Confucius (or so he tells me))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have hosted lots of people, all were really good experiences and I have stayed friends with many, only had one negative experience but won't let that taint the wonders of this brilliant project !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have put up more people that I can keep track of... mostly Aussies who have had my number passed on and land on the doorstep. Like to think of it in a karmic way!

Irish set dancing
Irish language
Good gigs (usually recommended by friends)

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to narrow down!
Loved the Life of Pi and The Alchemist
Really liked the movie Leon, Strictly Ballroom and also the Crouching Tiger, Hero, house of flying daggers movies.
Still catching up on my music. Like everything except stuff you have to be on drugs for... (as in I don't do them...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekking to a village in Chiang Mai and seeing the kids reactions when I gave them crayons and paper.
Flew to a copper mine (in a TINY plane) in Queensland to cook for a month... was in the co-pilots seat. Had to cook 30 steaks in one go.
Lived on a sheep shearing station in NSW and taught Irish...
See lots of amazing things everyday. Its about having the right perspective!

Teach, Learn, Share

I think you can learn a little (or a lot) from everyone. It's great to meet people with the same interests too.
