I am a senior Animal Science major at the University of Georgia. I hope to enter graduate school to become a veterinarian in the fall of 2017 as a love animals! When I was in 6th grade I traveled to Japan for two weeks and fell in love with traveling. Having family in Norway and Germany has always made me want to visit there, especially hearing all the stories from my grandparents. This summer I am studying abroad in France in May and then am using the rest of the summer to travel around Europe to other places I want to visit. I will be ending my journey visiting some of my family in Norway.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling but being a student can make it difficult. Couchsurfing is a great way to meet locals while visiting a city and having a place to stay. I am trying to enjoy my last summer before entering the real world. I am financially independent and so thing like this can help to not only save money but also be able to experience a city in a new way that typical tourists can't!

Interests

I love being outdoors and doing things such as hiking, scuba diving, and camping. I also love reading and horseback riding. I showed horses competitively in high school and now play water polo at my college.

Music, Movies, and Books

Reading is one of my favorite things. You can always find me with a book in my bag or reading somewhere in my free time. I enjoy fiction books like Harry Potter, the Hunger Games, Eragon, and things like that. I also enjoy historical fiction as you can learn about the past while enjoying a good book. I love reading suggestions from friends and always try to see what books my friends are reading.

I listen to basically every type of music. I listen mostly to country like Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Garth Brooks, however I also listen to other genres. I enjoy heavy metal, soft rock, rock, jazz, and almost eventing everything else out there.

My favorite movie is Kingdom of Heaven. I enjoy action and war movies but also like ones with a bit of fantasy in it like Harry Potter. I enjoy a good comedy but only occasionally watch romantic comedies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was on 6th grade I took a leadership trip to Japan with a group and we got to climb Mount Fuji which was absolutely amazing!
