Music, Movies, and Books

I am passionates about musicals but also enjoy alternative rock, jazz, rock, and standards. I have a softspot for movies from the Golden Age of Hollywood (like Casablanca, The Philadelphia Story, and The Maltese Falcon) but I also enjoy more recent dark comedies like "In Bruges" and "Ghostworld." I don't read as much as I should but I love a good biography. Real people can be more interesting than fictional characters sometimes!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While visiting the family friends of a friend of mine in a small town north of Barcelona I was touched by how welcome they made me feel. They invited me into their home, gave me a plate of delicious paella, and showed me around the town they grew up in. It is the best Spanish meal I have had while living in Spain!
