About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To grow, thrive, and apply my gifts to the world in whatever way I can.

ABOUT ME

I'm a scientist and musician by trade. Currently working as a Forestry Technician in the Stanislaus Forest marking hazard trees. I love being outdoors, writing music/poetry, crafting just about anything, and taking care of my friends and family. I love meeting new people and traveling to new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I lived in Ashland Oregon for four years to go to college. In that time, I moved multiple times and had to crash on a couple couches here and there in between houses. My last few houses were very large, and we encouraged travelers and bands that we met to stay with us.

Music, Movies, and Books

Authors: Kahlil Gibran, Jonathan Safran Foer, Douglas Adams, Harlan Ellison, Neil Gaiman

Music is a hard one to narrow down. I've been exposed to many genres and can appreciate a little from all of them. I love classical, alternative, grunge, industrial, folk, jazz, indie, and beyond.

Movies: Audrey Hepburn, Guillermo del Toro, Wes Anderson, I ❤️ huckabees, Darren Arenofsky, Metropolis, MST3K, lots more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On my last stint in the Plumas Forest, I found and saved a 3 week Great Horned owlet that had fallen from its nest in a huge Ponderosa. I've always loved owls and it was so fulfilling to be able to drive the little guy to a rescue center in Lake Tahoe

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach:

Most things environmental

Yoga, Pilates, Qigong

Cooking-My family has many chefs, and they have taught me well. I love to cook for people!

Music-I can teach guitar, ukulele, or percussion with confidence, and many others with competency.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Many things! I love to play music, and board games are always fun. I'm not a sommelier by any means but I find wine is usually a good gift!

Countries I’ve Visited
