ABOUT ME

Living in China for a year or so. I used to do journalism in San Francisco, but I'm taking a hiatus to see what else it out there. I have a minor obsession with the Flaming Lips and can do a mean Irish jig.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to be a loving person in every social interaction. I'm also a vegetarian.

Looking to get glimpse of cities from people who live there. Buddies for hiking, shopping, or drinking are welcome.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've only hung out with Couch Surfers (as opposed to staying with them), but every time has been a blast!

Flaming Lips

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Last year I lucked out and got to stay in the nippa hut of a local in the Philippines and eat the food they cooked all outside and without power on a little prep table and stove. Waking up and walking down to the water at sunrise, I felt like one with my surroundings — until a little boy saw me and ran away frightened.

I have successfully taught 2-5 year olds an Irish jig in 30 min, so there's hope for you, too!
