ABOUT ME
I love travelling and I love living in different countries. I grew up in a small town in Australia called Pacific Paradise (yes that's its real name!). I think it was a great place to grow up but after spending 17 years there I was so eager to see what else the world had to offer. I moved to Brisbane to go to uni and after a few years there I was still wondering what else was out there. Since then I've done an exchange for 1 year in Québec, Canada completed a Master of Forensic Science in Lausanne, Switzerland. I am currently living and working in Graz!
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that life is a balance and I make sure that I'm never sacrificing too much of any one thing. This is why I love to integrate travelling, working, studying, meeting new people, keeping in touch with old friends and generally enjoying life into one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate by surfing, attending CS events and being available for a drink or catchup. I met someone once who said that even if you can't host people, your contribution to the CS community is by sharing as much of yourself, your interests and your culture as you can with the people who are lovely enough to host you. I couldn't agree more! So I hope that when I surf a couch, I leave little part of my experiences/stories/opinions with them, so that they get as much out of the experience as I do :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've mainly surfed (although I did host some people back in Brisbane). I think CS is an amazing concept that really gives you a different perspective when you visit a place. Two of the most surprising CS experiences I've had were in the Ukraine. Firstly we randomly contacted another couchsurfer who we saw was in Kiev at the time and ended up spending hours hanging out with him and a friend. The second experience was when we stayed in Lviv, the housemate of our host was so lovely he took us around the city, to lunch and to a great little chocolate factory! It was such a pleasant surprise!
Interests
Travel, dancing, swimming (and all water activities), running. I also enjoying partying with friends (especially costume parties!) and food! I especially enjoy spending hours cooking with friends for a feast that evening :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm dealing with an addiction to TV series such as Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, Bones, Criminal Minds, Always Sunny in Philidelphia, Arrested Development, Shameless, Entourage, Up All Night, The Goodwife and more..
I enjoy music which is catchy, upbeat (or chilled but not depressing), music you can dance to/sing along to - not a fan of electro/trance. I enjoy Australian music, even though it can be hard to keep up with the new stuff being so far away: Missy Higgins, Kate Miller-Heidke, Angus & Julia Stone, Bob Evans, Cat Empire, Josh Pyke, Lisa Mitchell, Washington, Sia... etc I also enjoy german/french music even if I can't understand all the lyrics: BB Brunes, Christophe Willhem, Les Cowboys Fringants, Wir Sind Helden, Peter Fox.
