About Me

Hello! So I'm an open minded and very chill gal who's happy doing most things. I love a good night out/ festival but am also just as down for a chill/ more reflective time too. I thrive off doing new things, learning and meeting people :-)

I'm pretty much into anything which explores people's nuanced experiences of the world (in the form of literature, film, media, research). I'm keen on working to change problematic social perceptions and structures. I also try to live as mindfully as possible- both materialistically and within my relationships/interactions with people :-)

At the moment I'm on an open- ended trip. Starting in Turkey, then heading to southern eastern Europe (basically anything south of/including Czech) before going to Mexico and doing some of Central and South America.

I feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity, ability and circumstances to see the world and engage with different people, cultures, languages and perceptions and want to immerse myself as much as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I really appreciate the opportunity to hang out with locals in the places I visit and to get to know their experiences, ideas and thoughts.

The genuineness and mutual benefit in exchanging company, skills, stories and cultures really appeals to me!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite director is Sean Baker (Tangerine, The Florida Project, Starlet)...anything with realism or in-depth character development I'm pretty into. Also love a good documentary (Paris is Burning, Chemsex, The Imposter)

Favourite author atm would probably be Zadie Smith (White Teeth, Swing Time)...I also love Jonathan Franzen, Haruki Murakami, Kazuo Ishiguro and Jennifer Egan. Just read the Blood of Others by Simone de Beauvoir and loved that too

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a black belt in taekwondo and coached kids for a few years so could teach you some of that :-) I can also do language exchange with English, Spanish or Turkish!

Other than that we can share stories, experiences and a few laughs :-)
