About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience and discover everything I possibly can!

ABOUT ME

One year ago I finished a long journey through the USA that took me places I never dreamed I would be. Solo, I drove 29,847 miles over 363 days and have absolutely fallen in love with life, traveling, and the CouchSurfing community!

Currently my partner and I are on an open ended trip around the world. Justin is staying in South East Asia and working for a few months so I am out on my own again! This is the first trip I have left the US for and thus far it's been phenomenal.

ALWAYS looking for adventure and new friends :)

PHILOSOPHY

I'm constantly on a quest to find out new things about myself, and I strive to always question what I think I already know.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I keep in contact with almost all my Hosts and fellow surfers, and I hope that they come and visit me where ever I settle next! In the short time I was in Portland I had 7 people visit! Making friends all over the country has been incredibly enriching and fulfilling. I am definitely a CSer for life!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Life changing, inspiring, humbling, engaging, eye-opening, and fulfilling.

Interests

I love to drive, cook, road explore, adventure, go to concerts and museums, dance (or at least attempt to!), swim, ride bikes, read, and try new things!

I love to discuss ideas, viewpoints, and creeds, listen to/share stories and recipes, and create lasting memories with people from all walks of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not a big movie person- I just don't ever really have a lot of time for movies or television.

My favorite book right now (and for the past 4 years has been) the Prophet, by Kahlil Gibran. I enjoy reading it at different times in my life and getting new insight.

I enjoy music, especially small local and live events. Recently I have been stuck on some funky acid-jazz a friend turned me on to, but I am always looking for new and exciting live musical inlets.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept on the deck of a speed boat at the end of Key West and woke up to a light rain, shining ocean, and brilliant sunrise.

Plucked an apple from a tree growing out of the Niagara River and then ate it, getting soaking, hanging out under the falls...

Did the bourbon trail in Kentucky with a phenomenal friend, was gifted a bottle of whiskey at the Makers Mark distillery with my name on the label, and got to personally dip it in the iconic red wax and press the seal!

Teach, Learn, Share

We cheat ourselves out of possible life-changing relationships when we 'shelter' ourselves and avoid 'risky' interactions.

Take a chance with your neighbor, class mate, co-worker, or that person sitting next to you at the coffee shop... they are bound to surprise you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Awesome stories, a great home-cooked meal, travel-tips and tricks, and advice on visiting the USA! (oh, and some American Sign Language if you're interested)
