Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far, I do not have a couch to offer... but I would like to stay on people's couches! Though I haven't travelled too much, when I have, I have most appreciated staying with people. I find it the best way to engage a place and to have a real exchange, to give some of yourself and to get something back from people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In Senegal, I lived with a family for 2 months. It was truly a challenge, especially in the beginning, to become acclamated to such a different lifestyle. But I found living with them (about 15 people in a 3 bedroom house) and building relationships really connected me to the country and the people.
