About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am here to travel. Its as simple as that.

ABOUT ME

Having been born in England and brought to Canada when I was young, it gave me a different perspective of the world than many...as in I want to see it all. I am slowly marking things off my list, which is a constant challenge as my `travel wish list`changes daily. This just means I have to travel EVERYWHERE! I love meeting people, exploring and living everyday to its fullest, which, as I write this, sounds so cliched, but I can`t really think of any better way of putting it.

I have many interests, and many dreams. And I intend to do it all!

Interests

Music! I love music, any and all music. I love socializing, and getting out and about, experiencing as many things as I can cram into a day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I work on a train running through the Canadian Rockies, so I do have some absolutely awe-inspiring moments. My job entails a lot of hard work, as do many, but I have to say that I have some pretty amazing benefits. There are always moments in the crazyness, where I stop and just look. Whether its as we are arriving into the Rockie mountains at dawn, watching the sunrise over the magnificent peaks and having a moment of pure peace, knowing that these mountains were here long before we were, and will be here long after we are gone..it is a very humbling experience. Or going through the Shuswap lake region and having generations of families come out specifically to wave us on our way. Being a part of of other peoples journeys, that they have waited a lifetime for, is truly a gift.

There are also moments through my travels where I have had what I call "ah-ha' moments. Its like a moment caught in time, not with a camera but with a memory. A picture perfect moment, that I always remember with extreme clarity. These moments I make a point of NOT recording with a camera. One of these moments happened in England with my extended family, out in the moors. I hadn't been back in about 6 years, and we all got together and went out to the moors in Dartmouth, and climbed to the top of some hills. Looking out over the patchwork quilt countryside, I was standing on the edge of a cliff(literally)..being nervous of heights, this moment should have filled me with trepidation, however I sat on the edge of that cliff and dangled my feet over the edge. With my family behind me, and the views before me, I felt true awe. It was a moment I will never forget.
