I'm half portuguese, half french, living in London for almost 3 years now. I'm very friendly and sociable, making friends everywhere I pass very easily. I like genuinely everyone but don't trust everyone. Down to earth and very responsible, I like to think logic and simple, I always go straight to the point and am always honest, even when I shouldn't. I'm actually very bad at lying. Despite my "adult" and down to earth side, I love to party and meeting new people. I love music (a bit of everything but my youth was spend listening to quite heavy rock music), I like clubbing from time to time if the club is good and music good enough. Although I always prefer a good chat in a bar/pub with a glass of red wine! I'm very opened minded and wish to learn more from every place, every person I meet, as well as from all the bad and good situation I go through.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to this and I know it is difficult to trust someone who hasn't got many reviews yet, but hopefully I'll get my first positive review very soon!
The reason why I decided to use it again is that I have been travelling more recently and been using hotels/airbnb, but I think there's the human factor missing when I do that. I'd like to meet locals when I go somewhere, people who can guide me through the best spots and give me a few tips about "what when where or how". More than a place to stay, I am looking for people to share the experience and to help me enjoy the places as it should be.

Interests

I love music, cinema, books, sailing, nature, animals, cocktails, shopping (not compulsively) , travelling, making new friends, red wine and cheese (my french side never failed), good food, good restaurants. I love road trips. I love the sun and the beach (the quiet ones, not the ones crowded with tourists). My definition of perfect holidays is either being travelling somewhere new, or, drinking a good beer and eating king prawns in front of a beach with the sunset on the horizon, with friends obviously!
Oh, and I love cooking :)

Very difficult to choose the favourite music as I constantly listen to new things and have always a different favourite new one, but mainly... Tool, Deftones, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Daft Punk, Massive attack, Smashing pumpkings, Bjork, Asian Dub Foundation, Sia, Nina Simone, Sublime, Thievery Corporation, Radiohead, Blur.... among thousands of others. I consider myself as quite versatile and opened-minded musically.
Favourite movies.... tough one. Every single movie from Tim Burton. Butterfly effect. Requiem for a dream. Les Intouchables. Star Wars (all of them). Alien (all of them).... Series: Game of Thrones, Californation, Weed...
Favourite books: Every single book written by Stephen King. He's my king.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved to foreign countries twice, first time from France to Portugal, to study at University (without knowing anyone there) and second time from Portugal to the UK to work, with no money and no job in view.

Also, I learn how to sail. on my own. Just because "why not?".

Everything happens for a reason. Life is a balance of good and bad, dark and bright. If you get to much darkness in your life, you'll have to double your efforts to make it bright.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my positive attitude and friendship!!. Other than that, I can share my place when I can, obviously. Either in London or in Portugal.
I can share my time, either when hanging around or at home for cooking for example, and sharing good meals together :) and drinks! I can share the bottle of red wine, I'm not greedy (not even with wine :p )
