ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Shawna. I am very curious about the world and I am always planning a trip somewhere. I sometimes go places on my own, with my husband Nate, and with friends or my brother. In my spare time, I also bake bread and pastries for my family and friends. I like to keep moving - walking, hiking, biking, dancing, yoga and gym workouts. Nate likes vacations for drinking good beer and learning about history. Sharing conversations with new people over a drink plus exploring cities on foot and bike are our shared hobbies. Overall, I'm very polite, always on time, and laugh at both clever humor and silly stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read a lot of nonfiction (geography, history, biographies, travelogues, etc.). I also enjoy community radio and a wide variety of styles, especially if it's good for dancing or other exercise. My movie tastes include documentaries and international art house films, plus I like prestige series like True Detective and Succession on television.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
December 2023: Bicycled across Bogota without getting breathless or sunburned
Teach, Learn, Share
Happy to share nerdy knowledge and have interesting conversations about history, geography, and local attractions and culture. Baking and gardening are my main culinary hobbies, so I would gladly share those interests and products.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can bake something very tasty with access to a good kitchen, plus bring something fun from St. Louis to share. I also offer to practice English or try my German, plus wash the dishes and give lots of attention to friendly pets and kids.
