About Me
Hi everybody,
I am French and currently living in the US for a year. I am teaching in a tiny city in Indiana and trying to travel as much as I can during the year :) I used to live in the city of Grenoble in France, it's a beautiful city surrounded by mountains.
People usually say that I'm a very dynamic person and always smiling ! I love outdoor activities like hiking and camping, going out for drinks, history, meeting people, movies and FOOD ! I am outgoing, open-minded, I love meeting people and sharing ! I like spreading positive energy around me and I'm a strong optimist !
Cooking is one of my greatest passion, I love trying new things and hosting people over food. I'm always happy to see people enjoying something that I realized. My other passion is photography. I'm a mere amateur in the world and I have a tiny camera but it's something that makes me tremendously happy... I think I will take the time to focus on it and develop my skills once I'm done with my studies (hopefully)!!! Other than that, I used to write short stories when I was younger and I feel very sad that I stopped writing. Now it's all writing for my thesis but I met a couchsurfer who inspired me a lot to go back to writing, so I will do it this summer !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it would be fun and interesting to meet people who love traveling, share our common experiences in traveling and above all meet locals from the different places I am going to visit. I am not just interested in discovering and exploring places I want to meet people !!
Also, I had a Japanese friend and a friend from Ohio (who is now in France) who crashed for a few days/ weeks at our house share and with my roommates, we having a fourth person around !!!
Music, Movies, and Books
I am really a movie addict, but people often say that I like weird movies, they are usually independant films. If I had to chose, I would say Pulp Fiction by Tarantino and Mommy by Dolan.
For books, I am more of a classic person and my favorite French writer is definitely Emile Zola for Le Ventre de Paris and Nana.
I also love l'Ecume des Jours (Mood Indigo) by Boris Vian.
I am not of a big music person, but something that really relax are Ravi Shankar's compositions... and I love his daughter's (Norah Jones) songs. I enjoy all kind of music that are not too extreme (like heavy metal) but I see music as a way of sharing and illustrating moments !
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Tried hitch-hiking in Italy (it was not a real a success)
Climbed different mountains of the Alps
Teach, Learn, Share
