About Me
ABOUT ME
Im Briony, im 20 and im a uni student from australia (linguistics major) and im currently on exchange in lyon france, so my french is pretty good. UNfortunately for my bank account (and school marks!) im spending more time travelling europe than actually attending uni. ahh such is life.
before arriving in france i spent 2 months in mexico and central america, somehting that i completely recommend, an amazing cultural experience!
im open to any questions abut australia and will try my best to answer them - i know a lot of poeple are curious cos we are so far away, but i promise there is more to the country than kangaroos and sydney!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i am attempting to cuochsurf my way around europe on weekends and holidays!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
ive only couchsurfed once, in nice, france but i can easily say it was one of the best things ive ever done - easily beats a lonelyhostel and an untrustworthy guidebook. ive heard nothing but good things from friends who couchsurf regularly, and cannot wait to meet new people and add to my exerience!
Interests
I love sport, spectating but particularly participating. At home i play netball several times a week, but unfortunately netball doesnt exist in europe, so im missing my weekly dose of competitve team sport.
I love experiencing new cultures (especially the food - theres nothing im afraid to try, and my aim is to learn how to cook a new dish from everywhere i visit) and am keen to meet people from all over the world. I love picking up new languages, so if you can teach me the basics of yours (hello, please, how much, i would like, 1 beer thanks etc) im a very enthousiastic student!
