Overview
About Me
Very social guy who loves to have good conversations with all types. I have the travel "bug" so to speak. I much prefer seeing something local in depth as opposed to a superficial visit witnessed from a hotel. A perfect night is cooking, conversing and sharing a drink....or similarly I guess a slow morning over coffee. One earnest request after some rather unengaged Surfers...don't ask to stay if you are not social. One or two nights....fine, do your own thing. More than that- kindly pay me the courtesy of offering your time. I'm doing this to meet and engage with people after all :-)
PLEASE NOTE: my business, and to some extent personal, travel schedule is getting so crazy that I cannot commit to hosting weeks /months ahead. You need to hit me up maybe a week or two before arrival.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Looking for solid local experiences ; good conversations; meeting interesting people
Music, Movies, and Books
Wow where should I start.... Very varied interests-although I really enjoy a wide range of music, I do find myself always drawn to solo performers...I guess I just admire the individual talent. I particularly like Indie/ acoustic guitar.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jumped out of a plane a couple times. Speak decent Japanese. Worked at the White House when I was in college
What I Can Share with Hosts
My kids are grown, I'm divorced and living my life to the fullest :), and as for the actual visit, well my Southern manners would never allow that I show up empty handed, or at least depart without showing proper appreciation.
