Overview
About Me
Have a hard time telling jokes without laughing at them before i get the punchline out.
I am a Southern California girl living in Seattle Washington who loves meeting new people, eating good food, and talking about how fluffy my 5 year old shih tzu is.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would love to travel more and meet new friendly faces. What more is there to life than human connection?
Interests
Cooking, climbing, biking, hiking, reading, writing (poetry and music), playing guitar (not very well) and singing (not much better), yoga, surfing (couch and waves), drinking beer and wine, painting and watching movies. I want to say “karaoke” is an interest but it’s more of a passion. Sometimes I weave, brew beer (or cider), forage, and swim in rivers/lakes (when the waters not too cold) and the ocean (anytime as long as a wetsuit is handy).
Music, Movies, and Books
Its easier to say the music i don’t like than the music i do (music i don’t like: pop country and electro-swing).
I am a fan of art house films (not big on blockbusters) and i like to read one book at least every two weeks. Currently finishing up a Tom Robbins novel (Jitterbug Perfume) and a biography by Jennette Walls (Half-Broken Horses). Also enjoy authors such as Kurt Vonnegut, Barbara Kingsolver, and Pema Chodron to name a few.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moved to a big city with no friends or family and created a stronger community than the one I left.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to sew (nothing fancy just buttons and seam rips) and to play the four most common chords on guitar. I can share bad jokes, good vinyl, deep conversation, and mediocre poetry. I love to learn, anything and everything!
