Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel. Meet and learn about other people, places and cultures. Share smiles and good times!
ABOUT ME
Kind, open-minded, positive, and easy-going! Although I'm all for crazy and fun adventures, I cherish the relaxed and intimate moments that allow you to really connect and get to know another person.
I love being in the kitchen cooking with fresh, organic and local ingredients, entertaining friends, always with music in the background. I love being active and outdoors pursuing different adventures and being one with nature, but can also appreciate quiet times inside cuddled up with a good book or occasional movie.
PHILOSOPHY
Balance. Life is all about taking the bad with the good. Being active and healthy, but also indulging. Keeping busy, and making time to unwind.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Having spent the last few years studying for my degree and working, I am now in a position to be able to take some time off to travel. I am heading to Europe for the spring and summer months this year and hope to incorporate couchsurfing as part of my travels while I am there. I also hope to host fellow travellers visiting Canada when I return home or settle elsewhere!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all genres of music! (Although having grown up in Canada, I do like to rock out to some country music).
Favourite Movie: many, but I can recite 'A Knight's Tale'
Books: Usually the latest one I've read, but if I have to pick, 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower'
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'd like to think that a lot of the amazing things I'm going to do are still ahead of me...
But some of the cool things I've been fortunate enough to experience thus far:
- Standing completely in awe of Michelangelo's 'David' in Florence, Italy
- Skydiving from a plane at 13000ft
- Volunteering within Canada's oldest penitentiary, Kingston Pen., before it closed
- Witness joy in the smiles of my niece and nephew as they grow up
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyone is the expert of their own experiences, so we all have something to teach, something to learn and something to share with others. If we all strive to experience and understand the world the way someone else sees it, we will never stop learning.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A genuine love for people, good food, and great conversation. I also love to be in the kitchen, be it cooking meals are helping clean dishes 'the old fashioned' way. I'm an excellent sub-in for your 21st Century dishwasher.
