ABOUT ME
After teaching math for a few years, I now own a publishing business. I am mostly-vegetarian and a mom of two well-behaved teens who don't often travel with me but might sometimes. I enjoy coffee shops, pubs, good food, poetry/spoken word, community gatherings and events, off-the-beaten-path places, conversation (about anything at all, like philosophy, or politics...). I'm an excellent vegetarian cook. I can make curries that will knock your socks off.
I live in the heart of Riverside, a cool, old, artsy district just south of downtown bustling with great coffee places, restaurants, art events and breweries. It's a little diverse city village of all types of people.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live my life in the moment with respect for people and animals. I'm a vegan at heart but I'm not militant about it.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Matrix and Aliens are still probably my all time favorites. Six Feet Under was my favorite TV show (RIP) although I'm being drawn in by "The Walking Dead." Fave authors: Steven King, Joan Didion.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a week in Taiji, Japan, documenting the dolphin slaughter. What can I say about it? Horrific, amazing, life changing...
Teach, Learn, Share
Listen to your own body and not your doctor. I had one doctor tell me to "walk off" the pain in my knee (after walking it off for six months I could walk no more and found I had a ripped tendon that needed surgery).
