ABOUT ME

I am from Auckland, New Zealand and taking 6 months off work to travel through South America, I started in California and Oregon, have travelled through Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and am now in Argentina, which is amazing, the people here are so warm and know how to drink and eat well!

I have been enjoying the amazing outdoors and unique landscapes through running, trekking and mountain climbing. The people I have meet have been amazing and I am now at a part of my trip where my travelling is more workaway and couchsurfer based. Less "on the road" and instead of staying places for several weeks/months, where I can meet and connect with people and get to know a place a little more.

I love getting outdoors and in particular enjoy trail running and the community it fosters. I love travelling obviously and immersing my self in culture through food (my true love). A few things that have stood out to me as highlights on my trip. Trailing running in Yosemite and Oregon, Beer in Portland, Food in LA, Coffee in Colombia where I stayed on a friends farm, a 30km mountain run in Peru at plus 10,000ft, the diverse foods of Peru, mountain climbing in Bolivia and the food and wine of Argentina (I am currently doing a workaway in the Mendoza region).

I am very relaxed and happy to spend an afternoon with coffee/beer, hit the trails, cycle through cities and really down for whatever.

I have couchsurfed through Europe, Hosted people in my hometown and met up with people in India. This is the first time in years that I have jumped on couchsurfing and have great memories of it and as it's the first solo trip in a while I am keen to meet people.

I like a lot of different music. I quite like a lot of different indie music styles and rap. I am enjoying a lot of Mallrat, Leisure, Courtney Barnett and Denzel Curry at the moment, but enjoy finding spotify playlists. I am a bit of a running geek at the moment so have been reading Runnning with the Kenyans, also recently Let my people go Surfing. Not a huge movie guy.

Lots of incredible stuff from Skydiving in the Swiss Alps, to eating my weigh in ramen in Tokyo, to Living and travelling through India. I can't pick one and am also looking to try new things, the current obsession is big trail runs and just completed my first Marathon - some people say its crazy, but once you get your body right its brilliant form of mediation, don't worry I am not evangelical about it, it just works for me :)

I can teach you about how to effectively talk about and get people on board with sustainability. I can teach you about coffee and I am sure we can teach each other a thing or two about each others culture and philsopy on life and community.
