About Me

Hi my name is Britta, I'm 28 yrs old and I come from the Great Lakes region of the US. Minneapolis, MN to be specific. I have a passion for projects and for teaching. I love working hard, and enjoy having ample time off to pursue my hobbies. When I'm not in the city going to music shows or working on projects with friends I enjoy camping, canoeing, hiking, bike riding and most recently rock climbing. This year I acquired my motorcycle license and am sure there will be many cross country trips to come.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always had the most fun/best adventures staying on peoples couches during my travels. Meeting people who know the area is definitely my favorite way to get to know a place. I'm really easy going and low maintenance. At my home in Minneapolis I love hosting travelers, its such a treat to share stories and make connections. It really makes the world seem a little bit smaller and more manageable!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love sooo much music. This year I have loved listening to a lot of late 70's early 80's punk bands with female vocalists. Some of my favorite artists are Kate Bush, and Sybille Baier.

I enjoy watching cult classic type movies, and other art films.

Lately I have been switching between reading science-fiction by Ursula K Le Guin and non-fiction books about the planet (plants, animals, people) just started one called Arctic Dreams.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

You'll have to wait till we meet to hear these stories!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a fiend for learning new crafts so if you are at all skilled in working with your hands we could trade skills!

If you're into more creative projects I knit, sew, embroider, screenprint, and love working on all kinds of projects! Lately I've been practicing wood carving and making cordage from nettles :)
