About Me
I studied at University of California Santa Barbara and feel so lucky to still be living in this sunny paradise. I studied abroad in London in 2013 where I studied at King's College London and had an incredible time traveling through Europe. Prior to moving to Santa Barbara for school, I lived with my cousin and his wife in Guilin, China and taught English for five months.
This summer my boyfriend and I are going to be doing some exploring of our own country as we embark on a cross-country road trip for the month of August. We will be driving a U-Haul carrying my brother and his girlfriend's stuff that we are moving for him from New York to California. This will be our first time couchsurfing, but we are extremely excited to meet new people and experience staying with the locals rather than staying at hotels.
If you'd like to see more pictures and follow my adventures across the Northern United States, my instagram is @brittanyragan. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined the couchsurfing community three years ago because I thought the concept was amazing and I really wanted to host strangers. I never got the opportunity due to varying crowded living situations and roommates--but now that I am going on the road I hope to finally put couchsurfing to the test!
Interests
Throughout my time at UCSB I was on an improv team called Improvability and we put on improvised comedy shows every Friday night for the Isla Vista community. I still do improv today, along with freelance graphic design and illustration.
