About Me

ABOUT ME

The name is Brittany (if you didn't already know). I am a 23 year old broke college senior who loves Batman, bubble baths, and brownie batter. I am a fun loving girl who tries not to take life too seriously. I currently work two jobs and drive a shitty Buick which I have had since I was 19. I am currently studying Public Relations and Advertising with a minor in Marketing and hope to pursue a nice job after college...blah blah blah...no one cares. As I have said before, I love to have a good time and to meet new people from all walks of life. I would rather live outside in a tent stargazing than in my small cramped apartment. Laughing is my best calorie burner, I do it a lot.(Mostly at myself). I just received my passport, or should I say my ticket to the world, and I plan on using it as much as possible. My first big trip will be a European backpacking trip this summer with a couple of my friends. Well, I am gonna end all this mumbo jumbo but I hope you have enjoyed slightly getting to know me. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Hakuna Matata- Even though this is very cliche, this is ultimately my philosophy. People worry about so many mundane things and let little things get in the way of going after their dreams. Living life is not having overtime at work every week or worrying about bills. Life is meant to be enjoyed by doing what you love and surrounding yourself with the people you truly love. You only have this one life, so remember to make it count!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During our 30 day backpacking trip across Europe, we got the chance to meet some really amazing people who helped us in so many different ways.

Interests

Books- Not on a Kindle or Audiobook. The old, smelly physical copies are the best. My absolute favorite book would have to be "The Giver". I also love any political thriller or mystery novels.

Movies- I love, love, love movies and have seen so many random films that none of my friends have ever heard of. I know lots of useless movie trivia and constantly quote movies. I cannot pick a favorite. Too many glorious masterpieces to just choose one.

Nature- I love being outside. Being cooped up too long inside is hazardous to my soul. I feel inner peace when I am near the water or mountains. Camping and stargazing are my two favorite things.

Food- I eat like a bird, and have the diet of a 12 year old but I am definitely not one of those girls who eats celery all the time. Nope, just give me a Little Debbie Cake and some chocolate milk and I will be content.

Traveling- Even though I have never been out of the country, (except for Canada back in 1998, which I do not count) I love going to new places and meeting new people. There is just something magical about meeting someone who is different from you, whether it be from their religion, values, ethnicity, or age.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies

Batman- I have seen every one of them but I prefer the Val Kilmer Batman because..holy hot damn IceMan.

I am the typical girl who loves Lifetime movies. Give me a pint of Ben and Jerry's Half Baked and a LMN movie marathon and I am in heaven.

Any movie with Bradley Cooper...because dear lord. That man is a hottie.

Any movie with Pauly Shore..because how can you not like him?

Books

Mystery, political thrillers are my thing.

Music

Anything but Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber. My ultimate favorites are Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga, and Kenny G.

Teach, Learn, Share

All I can say is travel every chance you get. You will never regret it. You meet some awesome people along the way and learn a lot about your own self. Traveling frees your soul and makes you appreciate your surroundings.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom
