Présentation
À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Experience as many places and meet more people who also enjoy traveling.
I have a national park pass and plan on wearing it out this year, well at least until my car gives up on me.
ABOUT
I'm a pretty simple, no frills kind of girl.
I'm not very shy, I get comfortable around new people pretty fast.
This last year I drove across country twice with just my little rescue dog Dixie in the passenger seat.
My home town is in southern CA. Over the last couple years I went from spending a year in Austin, TX to a couple months in Mississippi, one month in Denver, co, took the northern route out to Virginia, lived in Virginia Beach for about 9 months traveling up and down the eastern coast the whole time, then started off 2015 with driving from VA to San Diego, CA. Stayed there until June then took off back to Montana, which is where I live (love) now.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first experience was in Kansas City, and I wish I had more time there, not just for the city but because my host was great! He's a friend now that I can text and bug about random things. :P
My last cross country trip at the end of January lead me to meeting some genuine, funny, loving people (and dogs, cats, goats!) who really confirmed that this is a special community to be a part of. I had such an amazing time between having some beers, laughing, talking about life, goals and everything in between. I enjoyed my drive and the scenery, but there's no way it would have even been 1/4 of the experience it was without getting to be a part of each of these people's lives for a night. I didn't ever feel like I was traveling alone or the drive was getting long, each day there was something new. It definitely lit a fire in me and I want to become more involved over this year.
Centres d'intérêt
I like to be outside. I enjoy being close to or preferably in the water, surfing, kayaking, hiking anything... And food. All foods. Fish tacos and Indian are pretty high up there though.
Fun for me when not in the outdoors is cooking, playing games, spending a day grilling and just being with friends/family. Also, I looove dogs and would keep 100 if it were practical.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I love live acoustic or coffee shop type of music (iron and wine, Norah Jones), a little old and new country, blue/soul/folk (Martin sexton and Amos Lee are two of my favorites,) oldies, and classic rock.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I can't think of one specific amazing thing, but I did get past my fears of completely starting over from nothing in a place I had never been, it seemed impossible more than once.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
Endless affection from my dog if she is able to travel with me! :P
I'm learning a lot about what I bring to the table in each new couchsurfing experience. For now I'm just going with the flow. I actually am interested and look at people's interests before showing up on their doorstep or even asking to come stay. I hope to build a network of friends from all over that are doing this for similar reasons.
I'm a respectful and clean guest that's not just coming to pass through.
