ABOUT ME

I aspire to be a student and citizen of the world. That sounds corny, but I mean it. And I feel as if I can actually say that on this site without too much flack...Humor is very important to me, and I try to approach each day and person with an empathetic outlook and a smile. I BELIEVE that everyone has something to offer, and I believe I can learn something from everyone.

PHILOSOPHY

Laugh or smile at something, even if it is a little something, each day.

I live my life to learn. I live my life to help others. I live my life to challenge myself and question my purpose.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There is something special about showing someone your home. You can relive that moment of seeing some place for the first time. You can see again the magic in any given place through new eyes. And there is also that wonderful sense of pride when you see satisfaction on someone's face, owed to a local view or experience..etcetera

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed with two other girls while traveling in Italy. It was a terrific experience. I was privileged to see Florence and the Tuscan countryside with true and generous Italians.

Did you know....the state fish of Hawaii is the Humuhumunukunukuapuaʻa (that name gets me everytime....also known as the Reef triggerfish- which probably would be Trump's fish name).

Two quotes from the movie, "The Beach" that I really like : Trust me, it's paradise. This is where the hungry come to feed. For mine is a generation that circles the globe and searches for something we haven't tried before. So never refuse an invitation, never resist the unfamiliar, never fail to be polite and never outstay the welcome. Just keep your mind open and suck in the experience. And if it hurts, you know what? It's probably worth it.

I still believe in paradise. But now at least I know it's not some place you can look for. Because it's not where you go. It's how you feel for a moment in your life when you're a part of something. And if you find that moment... It lasts forever.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Depending on how busy I am, I like share my time with guests and I like to cook for my guests.
Regardless of my schedule, I like to share recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing.
