About Me

I am an easy going girl, insatiably curious, seeking consciousness and love, and constantly blown away by the beauty that surrounds me.

I believe, as a number one rule, that the energy one puts into the world is the energy they will receive.

A few years ago I graduated from the University with a major degree in Journalism and a Minor in Latin Americans Studies. I always dreamed of traveling so as soon as I could I began my life as a student of the world through travel and interaction with new people and places. I look forward to meeting YOU! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I began couch surfing with a friend during our travels together and I was blown away by the generosity and kindness of complete strangers. I didn't know that a network of such amazing people existed. I love the experience of meeting local people from the places I am visiting and I feel like it has enriched my travels in so many ways . People are so open and willing to talk about their cultures and languages and ask me about mine, I really love those conversations.

I hope that I can also give back to my hosts in some little way if not just from sharing stories and ideas, laughs or meals and I will definitely one day be opening my couch to surfers. Hopefully it will be somewhere cool!

Interests

Cultures, traditions, languages.

I love music, dancing and art and poetry.

Coffee & Chocolate!!!

Yoga, meditation. The sea, the mountains and everything in between.

I love really crazy banging ridiculous drum circles and a good jam sesh but I also cherish quiet moments of reflection. One of my favorite things to do is read a book in a beautiful place or just on the couch with some tea. I love the smells of places. The moon is my forever friend...and fire.

I love to cook AND especially to eat, and to try new cuisine.

I love to have my hands in the dirt; compost excites me.

I truly believe that we can save the world one garden at a time.

And, of course, I love to travel! Heavy backpacks, confusing bus maps, thinking you know and having no idea, small victories every day, meeting amazing people. The best.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably would be the simple first step of making the decision to leave organized society behind and travel...and all that, that would encompass, including everything I have not experienced yet.

Hiking Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina, Salar de Uyuni and basically everything about Bolivia was amazing :)

Another fond memory I have is of playing soccer with a group of kids in a square in Granada, Nicaragua at midnight. We played a fierce match. It felt amazing to be able to interact with these kids and they were sweet to accept us into their lives for a little while.

Teach, Learn, Share

"Wise men say that rushing is violence, and so is your silence, when it's rooted in compliance. To stand firm in loving defiance, make art your alliance, give voice to the fire..." Rising Appalachia, Medicine

Tupananchiskama- until we meet again ( in this life or the next...or the next...or the next)
