Overview
About Me
One might find me in a topsy-turvy wonderland where everything seems quite charmingly mad- a world of bewildering dialogues, obscure conundrums, stunning paradoxes, and flagrant contradictions carried off in the most cheerfully innocent of styles.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I tend to have an observant, passive nature with a strong drive for adventure. While I wholeheartedly adore exploring, I've found my experiences abroad are always enhanced by a poignant encounter with a stranger, like when I was in Copenhagen and met a bunch of improv performers at a rave who invited me to their shows and even someone's birthday party! Or when I was in Switzerland and a couple from Argentina asked me for directions, then realized they had misplaced their backpack (with their passports!) on a tram so I translated back and forth between English, Spanish, and German for the couple and the transit authority before finding the missing bag, and we all went out for coffee afterward! I can really feel comfortable in my own head, but I'd like to enjoy the opportunity to get to know local folks. Adventure abounds!
Interests
For fun, I like practicing aerial arts (primarily hammock/sling, though I've started learning static trapeze), volunteering at Austin Pets Alive! (a no-kill animal shelter), cooking endlessly, geocaching, container gardening, wandering museums and art studios, and just generally nerdin' out, whether it be about Game of Thrones, linguistics, or self-driving cars!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I broke my elbow when I fell off of a bike in Liechtenstein, got back on the bike, made it to the border of Switzerland and Liechtenstein, and caught a train to Zurich carrying my 45-liter backpack. Definitely the most physical pain I've ever been in, but hilarious in retrospect!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to crochet or cook a delicious veggie feast!
I'm always keen on learning languages. Truly, from Esperanto to German to Korean, I grow wide-eyed with eager knowledge.
Sharing wild stories of international escapades is the best!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook yummy vegetarian dishes ranging from ratatouille to onigiri to fettuccine alfredo to Thai coconut soup!
If you're interested in learning the homey craft of crochet, I can help!
Also, any opportunity to practice Spanish or Portuguese is grand. :)
