CURRENT MISSION

Be on track to lead outdoors trips next summer. I'm taking some leadership courses and getting my Wilderness First Aid cert later this year.

ABOUT ME

In Fall 2013, I completed my first solo cross-country road trip! 11 weeks on the road. I got my second job in the Big Apple and live with my sweet partner and a cat in West Harlem. I recently completed my first half marathon!

I am usually late to wherever I need to be going. When sentences come out of my mouth, sometimes the words are mixed up, but you'll get the idea. I have a horrible memory and probably couldn't remember your name to save my life (I've been working on it thought!). I admit to being a hypocrite. If I wrote an autobiography, the title of it would be, "Shit Happens". While I try to rely on hand-me-down clothes, I have a soft spot for new shoes (of any kind!). Give me dark chocolate, and I will be your friend forever.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Books in General: I really enjoy reading what my 14 year old sister reads; young adult novels. It gives me something to connect with her on (particularly with our large age gap) and always a fun quick read - The Hunger Games, Percy Jackson, The Alex Rider series, etc. Otherwise, I like to pick up things like Freakonomics or Under the Banner of Heaven.

Particular books: The Handmaid's Tale, The Millennium Series, His Dark Materials, The Hobbit, Tripods Trilogy, Ender's Game, 1984...

Movies: I love action movies; explosions and guns are always enjoyable - particularly when you find a $3 movie theater and can split a pitcher with someone while watching crazy fight scenes. Other favorites: The Princess Bride, Moulin Rouge, Mulan, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Shrek...

Music: My fall backs are James Taylor, The Swell Season, Ben Folds, and flipping through radio channels. I like to sing along.

I went on a two week canoe trip in the Temagami wilderness of Ontario.
I did a solo hike on the Grand View Trail at the Grand Canyon.
