ABOUT ME

I have been living in Thailand since January of this year. I graduated from college in May 08, I wasn't sure what to do with my life so me and 2 friends decided to move to Thailand to teach. I have been teaching English since April to high schoolers (I use the term teaching loosely- most days we play hangman). I will be stopping teaching in October to travel a bit before heading home.

I love to learn, I laugh easily and I am grateful to be able to experience new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to couchsurfing, but for a period of a few weeks the summer after I graduated college, I couchsurfed on my own couch. I enjoyed the experience and hope to one day host other people on my couch.

Interests

new places, good times, talking over coffee, getting to know people over pitchers of beer, reading, lazy mornings, sing alongs, learning, dance parties, teaching, traveling ... and random adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I like to read a lot- a few favorites "Glass Castle", "The Time Traveler's Wife", "My Sister's Keeper". Also, I love "The Wizard of Oz" (the movie, the book and the music- I love it all) and have recently read a few of Paulo Coehlo's books, but plan on reading more very soon.

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Royal Tenebaums, Reality Bites, 80's Brat Pack Movies- most especially Breakfast Club, All the Real Girls... my list could continue for ages. I love movies.

Music: I tend to listen to folky,Indie music, but I also love Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald...
