ABOUT ME

We're friendly, respectful, open-minded, tidy and love to meet new people and have a good laugh. We love to really feel a part of the culture of a new place and really get involved, rather than just following the tourist trail. We've been living in London for the past 2 years but now on my way back to Australia, travelling for 2 months through Europe, Canada & USA. I've grew up living in South Africa, UK and Mauritius and had an amazing time which has made me want to see and experience more!

I'm traveling with my long term boyfriend, Dan, and we're having an amazing time together. We're both level-headed, caring and considerate people. We both passionate about design! Dan has studied graphic and web design and has his own business designing and building websites, apps etc, which I help with in my spare time. He also loves playing computer games (probably not as much as he'd like!). We are both entrepreneurial, we love to come up with new ideas and hopefully create something that helps people. Where better to get ideas than all over the world :)

We'd be keen to have a chat and some laughs with a host but do not expect them to show us around if they are busy (although that would be great!).

We've stayed with some AMAZING people on our trips so far and had a lot of fun! We've loved finding like-minded, kind, and super generous people all over the world! We've even been back to visit Couchsurfing friends! Looking forward to hosting people once we get back home :)

Interests

I love design and architecture! I've studied beautiful places for years at Uni and now I'm excited to actually see and experience them, both the ancient and modern architecture. I've loved getting into the London Olympics too - good timing to be here!

I also danced for many years (modern/jazz, tap, ballet), but now its mostly reserved for the dance floor at parties... I love swimming, snorkeling, theme parks, going to the cinema, hanging out with friends...

Dan's interested in photography, web development / programming, design, pretty much anything tech related.. he's an IT wiz :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking around the Plitvice Lakes in Croatia was just stunning and a complete unique experience! We were also lucky enough to see the Grand Canyon covered in snow - amazing! Hiking up Pulpit Rock in Stavanger, Norway has got to be one of the best experiences ever though - totally out of my comfort zone but so worth it!
