About Me

PLEASE READ THE 'MY HOME' SECTION AS WELL

CURRENT MISSION

To go to as many crazy, unfamiliar and exciting new places as possible in one small lifetime

ABOUT ME

I'm just a small town girl from country Australia who has a mad and fierce passion for travel. I run a blog that mostly specialises in travel in Melbourne and surrounding areas, including reviews on the best places to eat, as I have a passion for all things food. Check it out at www.adventureliesinfront.com

I'm currently studying a double degree in Law and arts/ humanities majoring in history. I spend half of my time studying and the other half working as a nanny and at a website with the aim of saving up for a year long around the world trip.

I'm a mixed bag, I'm a real Aussie chick in that I love the beach and the sun, but my mums side is also completely Greek (unfortunately can't speak it) and I definitely love cooking and eating Greek food.I speak a second language quite proficiently, having spent three months practising my French on exchange in Caen, Normandie, although I may be a little rusty now. I've also just started to learn Spanish at University (so Spanish language helpers would be very helpful!)

In my spare time I have a passion for reading, my book collection extends to 500 books, probably 700 if you count what's on my kindle and I love everything from Jane Austen to Lord of the Rings. I'm also on the debating team of my university which is always lots of fun and gives me lots of opportunity to travel around the region to compete in tournaments.

I'm still young and I'm a social person that loves to meet new people and chat about pretty much anything. Thus I don't mind a night out, although I'm more your bar and band kind of girl rather than a clubber.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm of the opinion that live is what you make it. For me, it's all about the experiences. Some people are of the opinion that I'm wasting my time and money working hard to travel the world, but for me it's all about working to be able to make the most of what I have and living my dream to travel

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While only really free to host during university breaks I have had some great hosting experiences which have really confirmed how great couchsurfing is and how much I can't wait to surf when I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was with Lukas and Steffi who came and spent Christmas with my family and I in Gippsland and I managed to show them some great natural sites of Victoria.
We also drove them up to Sydney and spent new years up there with them! I loved it.

I've hosted other since then and have so many positive experiences.

Interests

Books, cooking, travel, sports (but only for watching, I'm extremely clumsy) swimming, the beach, debating, languages and history.
