About Me

I worked non stop all through-out my twenties, now my business is on auto pilot so I'm traveling and exploring the world finally! I grew up in the super liberal city of San Francisco where I was exposed to lots of different people, cultures and life styles at a young age. I take that open mindedness and free spirit everywhere I go. I have so much energy and a zest to live life, I lost time while I was building my career and now I have a surge of energy. I enjoy the company of people of all ages, I'm interested in dancing for 16 hours straight at the underground techno scene in Berlin, as well as a food and wine tour of Tuscany, both are on my list for this year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking to meet and host new people, experience culture in an authentic way as I hate being a typical tourist. I have a lot of free time to travel due to my work schedule, when I'm home I love hosting people and showing people around the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. Some of my favorite things are exploring Napa Valley wine country and the California coasts, I'm always down for a road trip down the Pacific Coast Highway to Santa Barbara, Malibu and even Mexico (depending on my schedule of course)! Looking for people to explore with and learn from, I love sitting on my patio, drinking wine while learning from another person from another culture. I'm also mellow, I have days where I can't be bothered but will be happy to see you off to have a good time, I can give some tips and go my own way. I've been an airbnb host for about 3 years and love the experience, couch surfing seems like it's next level and I'm looking forward to it.

When visiting other countries I typically would stay in an hotel and do touristy stuff and I'm so over it! The best experiences I've had while traveling were hanging with local people and visiting places recommended by them, now I'm looking to make this my default experience. I'm also low maintenance and self sufficient with my own itinerary and plans.

I have plans to travel for about 6-9 months solo and am really looking forward to it. I've always wanted to do this and have been trying for years, it just has happened that every time I book a trip solo, a friend asks to tag along. I think I can learn so much through that process and gain so much more self confidence along the way. I keep imagining what it will be like to wake up in foreign country with no plans but my own, what would I do , what kinds of people would I choose to spend time with, who would I be? Anyway all my questions will be answered soon.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love dancing the night way to EDM, Techno & House music. Living in the Bay Area has mad me a pretty big food snob, I love dining out at the best places especially if they have an awesome view. I really know my wine and it's a big part of every meal and experience I have. Rooftop bars with a nice view, great wine selection and house music playing in the background will always be one of my favorite things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done a few amazing things but what my friends like about me the most is that I know how to party, hard! My gift is getting into the most exclusive clubs, not knowing anyone, never waiting in a line a never paying. Whether it's Las Vegas, Miami, Ibiza, Amsterdam, New York, I'm always in, always on the list without ever being on the list. Not just clubs but private industry parties for tech companies, fashion events, openings, whatever. It's a feeling of belonging that I naturally have which people pick up on.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been described as a person who knows a little bit about everything, I'm also interested in everything. If you speak Spanish or german that would be amazing. My Spanish is getting rusty and my German is basic at best, I'd love to converse with someone in those languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Money, meals and drinks out on the town, hosts are always welcomed to stay with me. I live in the heart of down town Oakland which is 12 minutes to downtown San Francisco. There are tons of bars, restaurants, nightlife and outdoor activities within a 5 minute walk. I have a spare guest room which I'm interested in opening up to travelers when I'm here and also when I'm away. I also have a guest house in the back which I usually rent on airbnb since it's an entire apartment.
