About Me

CURRENT LOCATION
Calgary

CURRENT MISSION
Create community, opportunity, and beautiful energy in every step I take!

ABOUT ME
Nice. Friendly. Outgoing. Respectful. Happy. Fun!

PHILOSOPHY
I am a life enthusiast and an extreme optimist :) and I have no CLUE what I want to do when I "grow up" but I am currently on an incredible journey in figuring that out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel and connect with others!! I am free spirited, fun-loving, and thrive in situations where I can experience new things. I have traveled throughout North America, Southeast Asia, Europe, and South America and I'm craving to be anywhere the wind takes me next! I am interested in being myself and making the appropriate changes to be my best self.

From people we learn and so this is ultimately why I am on Couchsurfing! Let's learn together!

Interests

A little more about me:
I am a Social Sciences graduate from the University of Lethbridge, a RYT (200-hour) yoga instructor and a full-time adventurer! I love adventuring, especially if that adventuring takes me/us to the mountains!! The past couple years have been a whirlwind. I lived in Madrid, Spain for 3 months and in Cali, Colombia pursuing my desire to be bilingual in Spanish. My last adventure was in FLORIDA where I ran the Pensacola Gulf Coast Half Marathon (April 5th), cycled/bikepacked my way from Pensacola to Jacksonville (April 8th to 12th), and attended my friends wedding in Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville, FL (April 13th).

Music, Movies, and Books

I have too many favorites to list in this box... so let's explore this more in person. To list a few:

Movie: A Star is Born is a recent top fave (however, Across the Universe will always be my #1 fave)
Book: Had to pick author..anything Haruki Murakami writes, I'm sold
Music: Emancipator (currently what's playing on my phone)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Seeing the leaves change colours throughout the different seasons in North Carolina, breath-taking!
-Being on top of the mountains in the Alberta Rockies. Whether it's waiting to start snowboarding on a crisp winter morning or looking up at a potential summit right before a spring/summer hike, I love the Canadian mountain ranges with all of my heart. (My favorite)
-The water in Cuba, absolutely incredible how vivid the colour of the water is.
-The Tad Sae water falls in Laos, the stammering beauty of cascading water
-The night life that exists in big Canadian cities like Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver :)
-Hiking the Swiss alps and eating cheese fondue, enough said
-Sipping on a beer in Portugal after hiking the Camino de Portugese (about 130km(+/-) from Santiago de Compestela, Spain to Tui, (Valenca) Portugal)
-Reaching the first alpine hut in the Polish Tatry mountains, eating warm Oscypek and Szarlotka for the first time
-Exploring untouched places throughout Colombia such as Rio Pance, Popayan, Sucre, La Ceja and many more other lugares mágicos y salvajes
-The long winding roads full of luscious green forests in Florida

& the list goes on....
