About Me

Currently, I am not much to the point. Working, getting adjusted to Sweden (not my native country, you know), and generally being busy with spending the days of my life in very mediocre and average (I daresay mundane) activities.
Yes, it is boring. But it earns me money and that money goes to an overly spoilt cat (possibly more in the future) and to feeding my boyfriend, who likes to eat stuff that I make (he's a very grateful subject, unlike my cat...)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I am not 'sharing' a couch, because the couch we have is occupied by the cat. Possibly in future times we (my boyfriend and I) will open up for people to share the couch, provided they can live with a rampaging cat in the middle of the night.

That said, if you're desperate you can always ask, the cat may be in a benevolent mood and offer part of the sofa.

Other than that I would really like to meet new people and, even if I can't offer them a couch, I could offer them my company, for what it's worth (I am cafeïne addicted, so drinking a cup-a-coffee is never a bad idea!)

Interests

Secretively observing people (but hush, don't tell them), reading, hiking, walking, being underway, travelling, seeing new places, new cultures, philosophy-talk ...

Lots of psychology, sociology, societal issues and enviornmental talk, all topics in general are welcome, as long as one or both parties know something of it introspection (everyone knows something about themselves, anyway) is also fine :).

Can't talk fashion, though, so don't ask me about the latest smell of Dior.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Anything Monty Python, 13th Warrior
Music: Folk Metal (Eluveitie, Korpiklaani, Turisas, Finntroll...)
Books: Fantasy and (alternate) history, and I have a thing for non-explicit historical romance novels (it's a niche...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was born, it ought to be enough! There simply is no pleasing some people! But seriously, it was a messy business, terribly shocking and quite traumatic (I can't remember most of it, it was so traumatic). What more do you want?

Teach, Learn, Share

However grim the future may appear, quitting is never the solution

How come? You always make a comparison of options, and then choose the best possible one. Though quitting is always one of the options, it can never be the best, because it always leaves you with nothing, whereas other options may leave you with chances, however slim they may be...

What I Can Share with Hosts

Any and every of the below:
Exchange jam recipes,
Frustration about what it is like to live as a domestic servant of a cat,
Grumblings about the general deterioration of science,
Despair about funding for research,

And any combination of these, all within a few minutes!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, South Africa, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Hungary, Netherlands, Sweden
