About Me

I am a UW-Madison graduate working in pharmaceutical research in Madison, WI. I LOVE travelling, reggaeton, camping and doing public health volunteering. I usually travel by myself, so I love to meet people on the road! I've done a lot of international travel lately, but want to make sure I don't miss the beautiful cities right here in the US too!
I will be going back to school soon for my masters, so I want to make the most of the last few months of freedom I have before I hit the books.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a new flexible schedule that allows me to travel more frequently, but I want to make sure that I stay on a budget. Also, I want to meet more people on a personal level so that I have friends everywhere I go! There is nothing better than being in a city and knowing you have a friend nearby.

Interests

Public health work, virology, travel, reggaeton, nightlife, camping, back packing, being outdoors, sustainable farming. I am seriously a weird mix of a bunch of different things, so you'll have to meet me to find out! I can roll with most crowds pretty easily. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Reggaeton (if you didn't notice) - mostly Nicky Jam and J Balvin. Enrique and Pitbull are two of my other favorites, but I also really like a lot of American folk music, especially bluegrass. More or less, I will listen to almost anything (within reason).
I love sci-fi and futuristic dystopian novels, some of my favorite being Clockwork Orange, Blindness and 1984. I also am a sucker for the Harry Potter; after all this time, always.
I don't watch much TV, but I LOVE, LOVE with Doctor Who and Supernatural and have always loved Star Trek.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a week out in Maasaimara with the Maasai tribe doing health work, mostly administering HIV tests, antibiotics and much needed vaccines. It's an experience that I will never forget and it really changed a lot of my worldview.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am really easy going, so I am pretty much up for anything most days. If you just want me to leave you alone, I can do that too. I just want to see as much of the world as possible before going back to school and getting locked down in the books and meet awesome people along the way!
