ABOUT ME

After graduating from university in 2008 all I wanted to do was travel... so I did. Loved every minute of it. Went to so many amazing places and met so many incredible people. It helped me realise what I want out of life and where I should be focusing my attention. Now Im back living in my favourite place (the Sunshine Coast, whats not to love?!) and have decided to do a Grad Dip and become a primary school teacher. So Im a student again, definately not as fun as I used to be and severely limited funds and time :/ but I do have a couch, and a cool little apartment by the beach so if anyone out there is in need of a place to stay give me a shout and I'll try and accommodate you!
PHILOSOPHY
love. laugh. listen.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Ive stayed with a few couchsurfers around the world, (met mostly through friends) and I have met up with other CSs at music festivals; wonderful to meet like minded people. Ive yet to actually host...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Ive never truly couch surfed!! I was always a little hesitant to stay with strangers as a single female. I did however post an emergency couch request when I was in Munich during a world trade fair and there was no available accomodation within my budget. I got so many responses from a variety of people - it was incredible and I was so appreciative. (In the end, a hostel had a cancellation...)

Music, Movies, and Books
To experience- you cant beat festivals, particularly Coachella and dance parties in the middle of Texan desert... but to listen to - I prefer indie rock, Tegan and Sara (all time favs), Florence + the Machine, KANYE WEST, drum & bass (pendulum, chase & status) and dubstep (rusko, caspa, skrillex), laidback luke, tiesto, fedde le grand, paul van dyke, SHM... Old school tunes that everyone knows the words to (ie the journey; dont stop believing)
My last truly memorable read was Shantaram.
Not a big movie watcher, I prefer to be doing something - but I love Gladiator, Zoolander, Kill Bill, and pretty much anything with Leo DiCaprio
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bungee jumping 135m in New Zealand was the biggest high.
Sunsets in Croatia were breathtaking.
Arriving at Machu Piccu after the 4 day hike will be forever seared in my memory.
European adventures such as San Fermin, Pamplona, La Tomatina, Bunol and oktoberfest - cliche I know.. but cliche for reason
Teach, Learn, Share
“Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no delay, no procrastination; never put off till tomorrow what you can do today” – Chesterfield, Lord
