About Me

6"4 and 176'
somewhat large feet and hands.

PHILOSOPHY

it's all dogmafeed
make up YOUR OWN mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To actually meet people rather than sit around ogling my own thoughts ad infinitum. Do I become more passionate by ostracising myself from reality or the opposite?

Interests

I'm a sculptor and potter.
I used to do graphic design, usability and 3d visualizations for a living.
Now I'm working to become near self-sufficient with my garden, and live from art rather than sponsoring the global conglomerate. Yes I still do photography and some of the graphic stuff, but its in decline :D

I love cooking and eating! I'm a big fan of most cuisines, probably favouring the Indian the most though. Been in a Chinese and slightly Japanese phase for the last two years.

I do believe in perusing ones passion rather than putting it off to weekends or old age.

I'm learning the trumpet as well, it's fun. There are no rules.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Freediving the reef off of Kakaban, clearest water I've ever seen, amazing tranquillity and rich marine life. Going down down and being so quiet that I realized that the thump thump I heard was my own heart and not an oncoming boat.

Teach, Learn, Share

oh lots of stuff, almost anything actually.
Specialties include: architecturing, graphic design, photographing, pottery, glaze chemistry, programming, cooking, sculpturing, drawing, painting, UX design.

Like Heinlein said:

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.
